Arteta prays for injury nightmare to end
After the draw with Chelsea in the Premier League round 11, coach Mikel Arteta hopes the international break will help Arsenal's squad bounce back.
The Gunners are on a poor run of form and have not won in four consecutive matches. After the draw with Chelsea, coach Mikel Arteta said: "There is nothing we can do about it. I pray that after FIFA Days in November, our squad will be fit again. The last eight weeks have been a nightmare.

Not only the injured players, but the players who played were not in good shape. Against Chelsea, we created three clear chances to score, but we couldn't put the ball in the net. Arsenal deserved to win this match."
Declan Rice and Bukayo Saka were both taken off in the second half due to injury concerns. Coach Arteta continued: "It's not fun because they are two important players for the team. Honestly, I don't know if I should expect them to be injury-free, because they could play for England.
We have to improve every day because the team keeps having problems. Normally when a club has so many injuries, the results drop, but my players have incredible spirit and energy."
Although they have maintained their results and not fallen too far, Arsenal's chances of catching up with the top four are becoming increasingly difficult. Former player Paul Merson commented: "Arsenal are a big team and have a clear objective. I think their confidence is low. Arsenal need to move forward and find stability. They need a series of 5-6 consecutive wins if they want to get back into the title race."
