Kieran Tierney joined Arsenal from Celtic in 2019. The left-back has settled in well, making 27 Premier League appearances in 2020/21, 22 in 2021/22 and 27 the following season.


But Tierney was sent on loan to Sociedad last season, with coach Mikel Arteta preferring to use Oleksandr Zinchenko and Jakub Kiwior over Tierney.

Tierney has had injury problems this season. The Scottish star only returned to the bench last month. He was given a start in the Carabao Cup tie against Crystal Palace but was forced off with a knock.

Kieran Tierney's departure from Arsenal is becoming increasingly clear. Recently, David Ornstein of The Athletic reported that Arsenal's board of directors decided not to extend the player's contract by one year. The deadline for Arsenal to activate the 12-month extension clause in Tierney's contract has passed.

This means Tierney will be allowed to talk to other clubs from January and can leave immediately. There are several clubs in England interested in Tierney. He could also return to Celtic. His time in Spain has also attracted interest there.

Kieran Tierney has made a total of 125 appearances for Arsenal so far. During that time, the 27-year-old has scored five goals and provided 13 assists for his teammates.
