Zaha signs, Aubameyang decision - Thomas Tuchel's dream Chelsea front three after £300m spend

The Blues could have a very different look for their first game after the transfer window closes against West Ham, and the latest developments hint at two attacking signings.

Chelsea's summer transfer window has many more twists and turns ahead.

After a very slow start to proceedings which saw Arsenal, Tottenham, Liverpool, and Man City make strong and statement signings of their own. New owner Todd Boehly has responded in kind with what he has done so far and what is forecasted to come. So far, Raheem Sterling, Marc Cucurella and Kalidou Koulibaly have been signed for more than £150million, with two additional first-team signings, more ones for the future in the form of Carney Chukwuemeka and Gabriel Slonina.

Malang Sarr's departure was the most recent one to be announced on the outgoings side of things. A day after Timo Werner's RB Leipzig return was confirmed for £25m. Marcos Alonso's Barcelona announcement is imminent, with the Spaniard just waiting for the Catalan giants to clear up their dispute with La Liga before confirmation follows.

Hakim Ziyech is also planning to push for an exit still despite AC Milan's talks going quiet. All this change means that more signings are still to be made, and talks for Wesley Fofana, Frenkie de Jong and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang continue. With the former Arsenal man, the football London have also previewed a best front three with him in it, but another attacking addition may join him if the latest rumours are to be believed.

talkSPORT have reported that the club are being urged to make a late move for Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha with owner Boehly confident of securing a 'cut-price' deal for a player who has one year left to run on his current deal.

Alternatively, the Eagles are reportedly keen on both Conor Gallagher and Callum Hudson-Odoi, meaning a similar situation with Brighton could unfold here in relation to previous transfer dealings that have happened earlier this summer.

With all of this taken into account, the football London previews a best front three formation with both Aubameyang and Zaha present.

All the new signings would start in this concept line—up: Aubameyang up top, Zaha on the right and Sterling on the left. Either Mason Mount will be dropped, or he will be moved back into a deeper role in midfield.

Kai Havertz would lose his place to Aubameyang- a move that Tuchel could make to raise the level of the German who struggled in pre-season and during the opening game against Everton.

Armando Broja would also have to be patient with opportunities, but this competition can only be good for his development amid exit links continuing to the likes of Newcastle and Leeds, respectively.

Substitute options that would rotate throughout the season- Armando Broja, Kai Havertz, Christian Pulisic, Harvey Vale.
